Dear Canton Voter,
I hope this letter finds you well. As a committed resident of our community, I am writing to inform you about the upcoming City of Canton Municipal Elections for City Council on November 4, 2025. Your voice matters, and your vote is crucial in shaping our future.
My goals and objectives are:
o My Main Objective - Raising Our Senior Exemption is my Number One Goal
o It has not been raised in Canton in 23 years – It has been $280K since 2002!
o Woodstock fully exempts its seniors from paying city taxes
o Holly Springs grants its seniors two exemptions. For municipal purposes, it grants a homestead exemption on the base year assessed value of the property as well as an exemption in the amount of $409,900
o Our current $280K senior exemption is not fair to the city of Canton seniors
o Smaller Government – I care about keeping our city affordable and paying only low, necessary taxes to Reduce City Budget Through Identifying Wasteful Spending
o Bring Higher Paying Jobs to Canton
o Smart Controlled Growth
o Promote Home Ownership
o Enhance Our City Services: Parks, Trails, Police, Health Service
With over 30 years of experience in management, budgeting, and financial analysis, I understand the needs, issues, and challenges we all face. I know how to make every dollar count—because I’ve done it both at work and at home. My background has taught me to look beyond the numbers, find creative solutions, and use data-driven decision-making to solve real problems.
Like you, I care about keeping our city safe and affordable, paying only low and necessary taxes, and keeping and increasing the senior exemption. As a father and grandfather, I know the importance of safe streets, quality schools, and accessible healthcare. I believe in listening to constituents and working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit everyone. I’m not a career politician—just a neighbor who wants to use my experience to make Canton more efficiently oriented to the needs of its residents. I’d be honored to earn your support.
I will be retiring in December and will be able to provide the required time to identify waste and solve problems.
This election presents an opportunity to make crucial decisions for the City of Canton over the next four years. Let’s make our voices heard and ensure our community’s needs are met.
